Diego Bassignana's workshop

The Italian pianist Diego Bassignana is giving a special master class in improvisation for advanced pupils and students of the academic program.

Diego Bassignana was born in 1984 and began studying piano when he was 13 years old with Antonello Lerda. He received a diploma as a liturgical organist in 2006 at the Istituto Diocesano di Musica Sacra in Cuneo, training with Ezio Mandrile. Subsequently, he completed a 3-year first cycle degree in piano with full marks in 2007 at the Conservatorio “F. Ghedini” in Cuneo, studying with Silvia Mosca. In 2009 he received a 2-year second cycle piano soloist degree with full marks and honors at the Conservatorio “Arrigo Pedrollo” in Vicenza, studying with Riccardo Zadra.

Diego Bassignana currently teaches piano in the different schools of music in Vicenza; offering instruction in the classical, modern and pop repertoires not to mention improvisation and composition, ear training, and concentration exercises to aid in effective and productive study for, soloist, chamber group or band.

All participants will be awarded educational credits.
